Student of archeology on internship at the Museum

For the period of four weeks of this summer Josefine Falkenberg is on an internship at the Sorbian Museum. During that time she is focussing on extended research about clothing of the western slaves in early middle ages as well as forms of early Slavic castles and settlements from 11th / 12th century. In that context she is drawing sketches of the objects in question. Another part of her work closely connected to the other is the creation of a more child-oriented part of our current exhibition.

Primarily, Ms. Falkenberg is studying ethnology and archaeology of the ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine world (two subjects, Bachelor of Arts) at Gottingen’s Georg-August-University.
