słowo w twórczości ukraińskiego artysty Andrzeja Sharana\n“Let us cherish
dreams – the only reality in this illusory world.”\nThose words seem to be
a bridge to the artistic and literary work of Ukrainian writer and painte
r Andrii Sharan. He creatively processes his – partly traumatic – experien
ces of different identities\, the exile and life in a foreign country\, th
e war that ravaged his home country and his family and the associated conf
licts. By doing that\, he achieved a symbolism that is universal for Europ
ean culture. Sharans poetic language combines literature and painting. Thr
ough this\, the experience of an individual becomes the tale of a collecti
ve European fate. Yet Sharan always remains an artist of Ukrianian origin.
That is one of many reasons\, why the Sorbian museum decided to show his
work and by doing so\, sustain the traditional relations between Sorbian a

journals. His paintings and literary works are being summerised with the
title “Pantomime of words and colors”. Up until now he showed his art in f

Kabinettausstellung des Schülerprojektes „Bauen
und Leben in der Stadt der Zukunft“

In verschiedenen Bereichen der Dauerausstellung wird die Geschich
te des 1782 als Salzniederlage errichteten und 1869 zum Schwurgericht umge
bauten Gebäudes dargestellt. Seit den 1970er Jahren befindet sich das Sorb
ische Museum in diesem historischen Bau. Eine umfassende Sanierung erfolgt
e in den 1980er Jahren. So ist der ehemalige Verhandlungssaal des Schwurge
richts mit klassizistischen Wandbemalungen versehen. Doch schauen Sie selb
st\, welche erkennbaren Spuren die Geschichte des Hauses preisgibt! Zudem

“Let us cherish dreams – the only reality
in this illusory world.”

Those words seem to be a bridge
to the artistic and literary work of Ukrainian writer and painter Andrii S
haran. He creatively processes his – partly traumatic – experiences of dif
ferent identities\, the exile and life in a foreign country\, the war that
ravaged his home country and his family and the associated conflicts. By
doing that\, he achieved a symbolism that is universal for European cultur
e. Sharans poetic language combines literature and painting. Through this\
, the experience of an individual becomes the tale of a collective Europea
n fate. Yet Sharan always remains an artist of Ukrianian origin. That is o
ne of many reasons\, why the Sorbian museum decided to show his work and b
y doing so\, sustain the traditional relations between Sorbian and other S
lavic cultures.

Andrii SHARAN was
born in the region of Lviv in 1966. He studied law at the State Universit
y of Lviv. After graduation he worked as an investigator for the departmen
t of public prosecution and later as an attorney. As such\, he successfull
y litigated at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Since 201
5 he lives and works in Wrocław (Poland)\, where he published his works in
polish literary journals. His paintings and literary works are being summ
erised with the title “Pantomime of words and colors”. Up until now he sho
wed his art in four individual exhibitions.
Our new special exhibition “Endless journey. Color a word in the
work of Ukrainian artist Andrii Sharan” opens on Sunday 17th November 15
o´clock. The opening ceremony will be enhanced by a pianist and a violinis

s born in the region of Lviv in 1966. He studied law at the State Universi
ty of Lviv. After graduation he worked as an investigator for the departme
nt of public prosecution and later as an attorney. As such\, he successful
ly litigated at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Since 20
15 he lives and works in Wrocław (Poland)\, where he published his works i
n polish literary journals. His paintings and literary works are being sum
merised with the title “Pantomime of words and colors”. Up until now he sh

. Was wohl die Fotos erzählen? Das erfahrt ihr in der Familienführung! Im
Anschluss werden kleine Erinnerungen wie Leporellos\, Neujährchen\, Masken
für die Vogelhochzeit und für Fasching angefertigt. Die Erwachsenen könne
n in der Zwischenzeit an der Kuratorenführung mit Jürgen Matschie und Alex

Let us cherish dreams – the only reality in this illusory world.”
\n
Those words seem to be a bridge to the artistic and literary work
of Ukrainian writer and painter Andrii Sharan. He creatively processes hi
s – partly traumatic – experiences of different identities\, the exile and
life in a foreign country\, the war that ravaged his home country and his
family and the associated conflicts. By doing that\, he achieved a symbol
ism that is universal for European culture. Sharans poetic language combin
es literature and painting. Through this\, the experience of an individual
becomes the tale of a collective European fate. Yet Sharan always remains
an artist of Ukrianian origin. That is one of many reasons\, why the Sorb
ian museum decided to show his work and by doing so\, sustain the traditio
nal relations between Sorbian and other Slavic cultures.

Andrii SHARAN was born in the region of Lviv in
1966. He studied law at the State University of Lviv. After graduation he
worked as an investigator for the department of public prosecution and lat
er as an attorney. As such\, he successfully litigated at the European Cou
rt of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Since 2015 he lives and works in Wrocław
(Poland)\, where he published his works in polish literary journals. His
paintings and literary works are being summerised with the title “Pantomim
e of words and colors”. Up until now he showed his art in four individual
exhibitions.

area of the Ortenburg high above the Spree was once the tribal castle of
the slavic tribe Milzener. Today the capital of Upper Lusatia is the cultu
ral center of the Sorbs.

“Let us cherish dreams – the only reality
in this illusory world.”

Those words seem to be a bridge
to the artistic and literary work of Ukrainian writer and painter Andrii S
haran. He creatively processes his – partly traumatic – experiences of dif
ferent identities\, the exile and life in a foreign country\, the war that
ravaged his home country and his family and the associated conflicts. By
doing that\, he achieved a symbolism that is universal for European cultur
e. Sharans poetic language combines literature and painting. Through this\
, the experience of an individual becomes the tale of a collective Europea
n fate. Yet Sharan always remains an artist of Ukrianian origin. That is o
ne of many reasons\, why the Sorbian museum decided to show his work and b
y doing so\, sustain the traditional relations between Sorbian and other S
lavic cultures.

Andrii SHARAN was
born in the region of Lviv in 1966. He studied law at the State Universit
y of Lviv. After graduation he worked as an investigator for the departmen
t of public prosecution and later as an attorney. As such\, he successfull
y litigated at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Since 201
5 he lives and works in Wrocław (Poland)\, where he published his works in
polish literary journals. His paintings and literary works are being summ
erised with the title “Pantomime of words and colors”. Up until now he sho
wed his art in four individual exhibitions.

Those words seem to be a bridge to th
e artistic and literary work of Ukrainian writer and painter Andrii Sharan
. He creatively processes his – partly traumatic – experiences of differen
t identities\, the exile and life in a foreign country\, the war that rava
ged his home country and his family and the associated conflicts. By doing
that\, he achieved a symbolism that is universal for European culture. Sh
arans poetic language combines literature and painting. Through this\, the
experience of an individual becomes the tale of a collective European fat
e. Yet Sharan always remains an artist of Ukrianian origin. That is one of
many reasons\, why the Sorbian museum decided to show his work and by doi
ng so\, sustain the traditional relations between Sorbian and other Slavic
cultures.

He studied law at the State University of Lviv. After graduation he worke
d as an investigator for the department of public prosecution and later as
an attorney. As such\, he successfully litigated at the European Court of
Human Rights in Strasbourg. Since 2015 he lives and works in Wrocław (Pol
and)\, where he published his works in polish literary journals. His paint
ings and literary works are being summerised with the title “Pantomime of
words and colors”. Up until now he showed his art in four individual exhib

reality in this illusory world.”

Those words seem to be
a bridge to the artistic and literary work of Ukrainian writer and painter
Andrii Sharan. He creatively processes his – partly traumatic – experienc
es of different identities\, the exile and life in a foreign country\, the
war that ravaged his home country and his family and the associated confl
icts. By doing that\, he achieved a symbolism that is universal for Europe
an culture. Sharans poetic language combines literature and painting. Thro
ugh this\, the experience of an individual becomes the tale of a collectiv
e European fate. Yet Sharan always remains an artist of Ukrianian origin.
That is one of many reasons\, why the Sorbian museum decided to show his w
ork and by doing so\, sustain the traditional relations between Sorbian an
d other Slavic cultures.

Andrii
SHARAN was born in the region of Lviv in 1966. He studied law at the State
University of Lviv. After graduation he worked as an investigator for the
department of public prosecution and later as an attorney. As such\, he s
uccessfully litigated at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
Since 2015 he lives and works in Wrocław (Poland)\, where he published hi
s works in polish literary journals. His paintings and literary works are
being summerised with the title “Pantomime of words and colors”. Up until
now he showed his art in four individual exhibitions.

bridge to the artistic and literary work of Ukrainian writer and painter A
ndrii Sharan. He creatively processes his – partly traumatic – experiences
of different identities\, the exile and life in a foreign country\, the w
ar that ravaged his home country and his family and the associated conflic
ts. By doing that\, he achieved a symbolism that is universal for European
culture. Sharans poetic language combines literature and painting. Throug
h this\, the experience of an individual becomes the tale of a collective
European fate. Yet Sharan always remains an artist of Ukrianian origin. Th
at is one of many reasons\, why the Sorbian museum decided to show his wor
k and by doing so\, sustain the traditional relations between Sorbian and

\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n \n \n Andrii SHARAN was born in the region
of Lviv in 1966. He studied law at the State University of Lviv. After gra
duation he worked as an investigator for the department of public prosecut
ion and later as an attorney. As such\, he successfully litigated at the E
uropean Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. Since 2015 he lives and works
in Wrocław (Poland)\, where he published his works in polish literary jou
rnals. His paintings and literary works are being summerised with the titl
e “Pantomime of words and colors”. Up until now he showed his art in four

Andrii
SHARAN was born in the region of Lviv in 1966. He studied law at the State
University of Lviv. After graduation he worked as an investigator for the
department of public prosecution and later as an attorney. As such\, he s
uccessfully litigated at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
Since 2015 he lives and works in Wrocław (Poland)\, where he published hi
s works in polish literary journals. His paintings and literary works are
being summerised with the title “Pantomime of words and colors”. Up until
now he showed his art in four individual exhibitions.
